All about Snow White

DID YOU KNOW THAT WALT DISNEY SUGGESTED 50 DIFFERENT NAMES FOR THE 7 DWARFS
IN _SNOW WHITE & THE 7 DWARFS_? WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE DOPEY, SNEEZY, BASHFUL,
GRUMPY, HAPPY, SLEEPY, AND DOC. BUT, CAN YOU IMAGINE A DWARF NAMED "DIRTY"?
I'VE COMPILED A LIST OF ALL THE DWARF NAMES TAKEN OUT WITH WALT'S TRASH.

Snow White is the heroine of Disney's first animated movie, named for her. She is sweet kind and very innocent. Shorly after Snow White was born, her mother died. Her father, the king of his kingdom, remarried a wicked queen. The Queen hated Snow White because Snow White was much more beautiful then she was. She forced Snow White to work for hours in the castle cleaning with hopes to make Snow White's beauty fade. The princess, however, remained happy throughout the entire time always singing and wishing for her prince.

The Queen ordered Snow White to be killed, so the Queen would be the fairest in the land. The queen's huntsman could not kill Snow White. Instead he told her to run away. She ran into the woods and found a cottage. Snow White stayed there, living with the Seven Dwarfs who occupied the cottage. She cleaned their house and cooked for them while they were at work in the mine.

When the Queen learned that Snow White was not dead, she decided that she would kill Snow White herself. The Queen transformed herself into a hag, and went to the Dwarfs' cottage. The Queen had a posion apple that would put Snow White to sleep forever. The only anticdote was the kiss of Snow White's true love, the Prince. Of course, I can't tell you the end, but you know Disney, it's always happily ever after!

Bluddle-Uddle-Um-Dum (The Washing Song)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step up to the tub
It ain't no disgrace
Just pull up your sleeves
And get up in place
Then scoop up the water
And rub it on your face
An' go blud-dle-ud-dle-ud-dle
Ud-dle-um-dum

Pick up the soap
Now don't try to to bluff
Work up a lather
An' when ya got enough
Get your hands full of water
Ya snort an ya snuff
An' go blud-dle-ud-dle-ud-dle
Ud-dle-um-dum

Ya douse an souse
Ya rub and scrub
Ya sputter and splash all over the tub
You may be cold and wet when your done
But ya gotta admit it's goot clean fun

So splash all ya like
It ain't any trick
As soon as your through
You'll feel mighty slick
Bunch of old nanny goats
Ya make me sick, goin'
An' go blud-dle-ud-dle-ud-dle
Ud-dle-um-dum

Now scrub good an' hard
It can't be denied
That he'll look mighty cute
As soon as he's dried
Well it's good for the soul
And it's good for the hide
To go blud-dle-ud-dle-ud-dle
Ud-dle-um-dum

Heigh-Ho

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig in our mine the whole day through
To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig is what we really like to do
It ain't no trick to get rich quick
If you dig dig dig with a shovel or a pick
In a mine! In a mine! In a mine! In a mine!
Where a million diamonds shine!

We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig from early morn till night
We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig up everything in sight
We dig up diamonds by the score
A thousand rubies, sometimes more
But we don't know what we dig 'em for
We dig dig dig a-dig dig

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho

Chorus
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
It's home from work we go
(Whistle)

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho

(Chorus)

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
(Whistle)

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho hum

(Chorus three times)

Heigh-ho (until fade)

One Song

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

One Song
I have but one song
One song
Only for you

One heart
Tenderly beating
Ever entreating
Constant and true

One love
That has possessed me
One love
Thrilling me through

One song
My heart keeps singing
Of one love
Only for you

The Silly Song

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yodel:
Ho-la-la-ee-ay
Ho-la-la-ee-ay
Ho-la-la-ee-ay-ee-la-ee-ay-ee-lee-ay
Ho-la-la-ee-ay
Ho-la-la-ee-ay
Ho-la-la-ee-ay-ee-la-lee-ay-lee-o-lee-ay

(repeat)

I'd like to dance and tap my feet
But they won't keep in rhythm
You see, I washed them both today
And I can't do nothing with 'em

Chorus
Ho hum the tune is dumb
The words don't mean a thing
Isn't this a silly song
For anyone to sing?

I chased a polecat up a tree
Way out on upon a limb
And when he got the best of me
I got the worst of him

(Chorus)

(Yodel, etc.)

With a Smile and a Song

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

With a smile and a song
Life is just a bright sunny day
Your cares fade away
And your heart is young

With a smile and a song
All the world seems to waken anew
Rejoicing with you
As the song is sung

There's no use in grumbling
When the raindrops come tumbling
Remember, you're the one
Who can fill the world with sunshine

When you smile and you sing
Everything is in tune and it's spring
And life flows along
With a smile and a song

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Whistle while You Work

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Just whistle while you work
 And cheerfully together
We can tidy up the place.
 So hum a merry tune,
 It won't take long,
 When there's a song,
To help you set the pace.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some Day my Prince will Come

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some day my prince will come
Some day we'll meet again
And away to his castle we'll go
To be happy forever I know

Some day when spring is here
We'll find our love anew
And the birds will sing
And wedding bells will ring
Some day when my dreams come true.

Music in Your Soup

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

This song was not included in the theatrical release of Snow
White. It was never animated beyond the pencil stage. You can see
it in cleanup animation on the video tape and Laser Disc of Snow
     White.

With a spoon and a bowl
With the music in your soul
You can cheer things up with the zub, zub, zub
Of the music in your doup

With a gulp
With a grin
Get a wiggle on your chin
You can make things hum with a zum, zum, zum
Of the music in your soup

Swing that spoon
Gota keep on dippin'
Scoop up that soup
Gotta keep on sippin'
Till the bowl is dry
And your face is drippin'

Let her rip!
Let her roar!
To the first and the second
And the third encore.

You're Never Too Old to be Young

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

This song was not included in the theatrical release of Snow
White. It was replaced by the above Silly Song as the piece to
entertain the princess. You will find the recording on the
Special Edition Laser Disc. It was never animated (probably
     Storyboards existed?).

Yodel:
Yodel-ay-ee-hoo (etc.)
(Repeat)

Chorus
You're never too old to be young
You're never too old to be young

When you start to lose your figure
And your hips are gettin' bigger
Your chest may slip
But don't you fret
No matter how weak your knees may get

(Chorus)

Though your teeth are out
And your whiskers sprout
And your arches give away
You're never too old to be young and gay

(Yodel)

When ya ain't got any fuzz upon your dome
When ya ain't got any fuzz upon your dome
Why the dickens should you care
If you ain't got any hair
'Cuz you never have to use a brush and comb

When you know your legs are gonna give out soon
When you know your legs are gonna give out soon
When your joints begin to squeak
If you practice for a week
You can walk around and play yourself a tune
Your voice may crack when you try to sing
But you can't be good at everything

(Yodel, etc.)

(Chorus)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm Wishing

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm wishing for the one I love
To find me today
I'm hoping
And I'm dreaming of
The nice things he'll say
(Repeat)
